The VR-12 is our highest specific output bulb available. Powered by 12-1 Watt light engines, it is ideally suited to any application where extremely focused, high light output is needed. Makes a great replacement bulb for primary lighting in large hallways, entryways and vaulted ceilings.
The VR-12 is available in traditional E27 screw base, the form factor is equivalent to a PAR38 spotlight. The VR-12 works best in applications where it is installed facing down or at an object. As the VR-12 produces no UV radiation, it is a great bulb to use for the illumination of photographs or works of art where UV can fade or destroy these objects.
One – 12 Watt EarthLED VR-12 costs approximately $5.25 to run per year at 12 hours per day. Since it was on for approximately 4000 hours it still has nearly 10 years of life! Throughout its entire 11 year life an VR-12 will cost approximately $170, including the cost of the VR-12, while a traditional fixture using an incandescent spot light bulb will cost nearly $650!
